I have an XB12Ss, and I need to remove the fuel filter. I don't have a stand, so I need to know whether I can get the fuel filter out if I unbolt the shock and jack the swingarm down. The manual says to remove the swingarm, but I have no way to hold the bike for that.

I had to give up on changing the filter out myself. Took it to the dealer - over $300 to CHANGE A FUEL FILTER.
As much as I love to ride my Lightning, I would't buy Buell again. Putting a fuel filter where they put it is just INSANE.

Why did you replace it? How many miles do you have on the bike?

65K. I replaced it because the bike was starving for fuel at high speed. Turns out that the fuel filter isn't the problem.
Finding that out on another bike would have taken 30 minutes and ten bucks. Finding that out on a Buell took 2 days and 327 bucks.

Wow! Thats a LOT of mileage. You must be a pretty serious rider.

So did you find the problem? What else has gone on with the bike? None of my business really, but lots of people here that are curious how the XB did for that many miles...
