Come join us for the second annual Minnesota Buell Rally! We will be meeting at my place in Hastings in the morning, leaving for a ride at 9am. We will pick a ride the day of. Could run down the Mississippi river and hit up Hwy 60 between Mazeppa and Waubasha or somewhere else fun, then meeting back at my place for food and drinks.

Come for the ride, the meet-up afterwards or both!

Message me for my address.

Great! My mrs might do the ride as well. As of now, we have 6 going and 16 interested in Facebook. I saw an 03 xb9s where I park and put an info card on his seat. Hoping we'll have a good turnout this year!

I just noticed the " freedom Isn't Free" ride is also in the Hastings area that weekend. Benefits go to "Beyond the Yellow Ribbon" a legit charity for families and those deployed transition back into normal life. https://www.cyclefish.com/motorcycle_event/45566
Was your scheduling deliberate? I was just thinking depending on how popular the event is we could get stuck behind a bunch of road sofas duck walking around every corner, or we could have a hoot of a time mingling in en masse, ( all six of us).

Hey Steve,

The scheduling was not deliberate but it could work out nice. Our route will likely be to go North of Hastings and we will be leaving before them.

We could always meet up with them when they get back if we want.

Thanks for bringing that up!
Bill

The count so far is MNScrounger, two of my neighbors and from the FB post, 6 going and 21 interested. I think we'll have a great turnout this year!

I'm also trying to talk a buddy into joining us. He has a VRod, but it has XB wheels and ZTL brakes. Given the background of the bike's development, that makes it a blood cousin, even if it is a bastard.

I would love to go with but my X1 has been sitting (sad and alone) in my garage for the last two seasons...

I'm thinking well be doing some bike projects after the ride. Valves and exhaust repack on an 1125CR and rotor replacement on an 1125R. Got some additional interest so it should be a great turnout!

Looking forward to a great MN Buell Rally! The jackets that Aaron Paddock posted will be available for purchase.

The festivities start Friday at 4pm. I'll be going to ZARS for the evening session which goes until 9pm. ZARS is an advanced riding school and is great fun if you haven't gone before!

Saturday, feel free to stop over anytime after 8am. We will have breakfast here and kickstands will be up at 10am. The ride is planned to be 140 miles and 3 hours but we will have some stops so not sure when we will return.

When we return from the ride, we will grill out, have some drinks, and go over a few common repairs. Charging system upgrade and valves on an 1125. Also may do an exhaust repack. We will likely be in the garage until midnight or so.

Remember to message me for my address if you plan to come. Looking to be a great turnout!

I also have a spare jacket that fits no one in my house. I'll try to remember that and see if we can find it a home too.
Is it bring your own for breakfast/grilling/beverages?

My missus is IN for the ride, but her attention span for all things mechanical is limited. We'll be attending, but likely won't be going as far into the evening as some of you will. My friend with the XB forked VRod is still mulling it over too.
