Wolf, thank you for the compliments on the Bartenders. As for the pizza's??? We have them made at a local old Pizza joint. They are fresh weekly.

That host hotel seems a long way from E Troy, is it based there because it is closer to activities or should I be looking elsewhere for room. Or just show up at Dana's place with my entourage??

And it seems like maybe a bigger block of rooms might be needed???

I can't remember where I had read it but ALL the seminars are going to be held at the Host Hotel.

Supposed to be a good, central location.

I was told that all the seminars are gonna be at the Hotel, more room for everyone.

Jim, the Hotel is at most 20 minutes from East Troy depending on traffic or route.

it's pretty central to all the activities, it's right off the superslab. It's also less than a mile down the road from Hals.

It's a nice 35-40 minute ride(on back roads) to the factory.

I don't think Buell realizes how many people they are gonna get for this event. I think they have underestimated by 50% IMHO.

Steve,

I agree that Buell planners may under estimate attendance. I have my room rented, figuring Mohawk might stay with me a few nights. I might not be on Buell, but I'm coming for the party anyway. Have you talked with Matt lately? Goods news for the summer employment I hope!!!

The ONLY knowledge I have of any place to eat is within a mile or two of Hals, in East Troy and by Mom's place up in Slinger.

Wide open to recommendations.

Mexican is ALWAYS a safe bet.

My Mother and all her Family have lived in Slinger since before the Civil War.

She lives on her farm actually in Richfield - Pioneer road. Couple miles from Slinger. All the Meyer family started in Slinger though there has been a big migration. We'll usually stay in Hartford when we're visiting a couple times a year.

Family Reunion is in 2nd Sunday in August too.

Quote: Blublak - Damn! I was hoping to get a chance to ride Road America..

There are actually races Friday-Sunday. I'm not sure of the schedule but it's a twin sprints weekend meaning they run all the races twice.

Don't get too bummed - if they are doing a track day at Blackhawk, you should do it. It's a super fun track, and challenging. I've ridden both a bunch, and while I'm still learning the intricacies of Blackhawk, RA gets a little boring with all the straights. I race a teeny old bike that's topped out and crying most of the time though. The 1125 was totally at home there, but I'm interested to see how it does at BHF. : )

Truckstop - Thanks, I'll ride BHF, never been there either, so it should be fun learning a new track and seeing how I handle the new challenges on the new bike.

Perhaps someone can post up a turn by turn sometime prior to the date so some of us can go in a little forewarned of what to expect?

Oh and I know how race weekends go, locally I'm there with a camera in my hand. This time, I'll just have to 'shift' into spectator mode and avoid too much shooting. After all, I'm not working it.. am I?

not a large venue, that's for sure. But it has a new owner and they are in the process of upgrading the place. It's a fun track. You'll probably never get past 4th gear on the 1125.

Yeah, new toilets and showers! Woohoo!! : D

If you search YouTube for Blackhawk Farms Raceway, there's a bunch of videos up there to give you an idea what it's like. (Likewise for Road America)
