No lock - a twist handle mechanism. I liked it.

M2. The riding position, ride height and reach are just about identical (the controls are exactly like mine). I think my R is a tad shorter in reach, but its close. The XR is alot more agile than my R. The throttle response from the Revolution is nothing short of breath taking. Lets not even get into the power delivery at 8k rpm.

Braking the XR is a snap with duel calipers. My bike brakes nice too, but not as nice as the 1200.

If you're looking for a sport bike HD, the XR is the way to go.

Thought maybe that was just factory deal, but it must be production. I'd want a locking one I think.

One thing this bike needs is an aftermarket seat.

I seen one today when I was picking up some head breather bolts (aperantly they are easy to snap the head off of them) I thought that was one amazing looking bike, but then again I love the look of the old xr750s. I think it is bout time they came out with one of these. Those 883rs were sad excuses for a street tracker.

I like it.
I've been talking to some folks about making sure one is ready for us at MB-VI.

Did you not find it comfortable?

It really surprised me - Thought it was very good for what it is.

No Uly tall, but still quite good.

yes, we know you have better pics than what were in the brochure, plus some action photos with a great review.

PS How does that shift linkage hold up under aggressive heavy foot riding? It just looks awfully friggen fragile in the pics.

Stood up to my size 13s just fine. Good gearbox too. Only got cantankerous finding neutral once.

Didn't do any action work. It's a 'quick spin' so the brief is for some static shots and 500 words.

That's great Glitch.

You can sign me up for a test ride right now.

After I try out the CR, of course.

Mike and I rode out to Stone Mountain yesterday. It was warm, and we needed a ride, so off we went.
When we arrive, I notice a nice orange/red 1125R on the front porch, and a real sporty looking V-Rod (had pipes on either side rather than both on the same side, sweet!) Walked in and saw the XR1200.
Best looking Harley ever! Well, it's a real contest between the XR and the old XLCR.
While Mike ordered parts I wondered over to look a the 1125CR. Wicked! Now if I were to buy a water cooled bike, that's the only one for me.
I really want to graft that nose/flyscreen/front end onto my bike more than ever now!
Then it came to me, Duh! I need to take the XR out for a test run.
As I return outside for my helmet, I notice...It's raining! Arg!
So I go back in and give the XR the once over.
Best looking Harley ever!
It's the first time Harley has ever made my short list.
It's sitting there just begging to be modded out to become "Glitch's bike"
The exhaust ain't as over bearing in real, as pictures make 'em out to be, they actually looked rather light. But they gotta go none the less, after all I've never owned a street bike that didn't have an aftermarket growl.
I'd also have to order a set of 1125CR Clubman bars for it.
It'd be a right smart looking bike then!
Suspension and tires etc.
Other things as well would be upgraded/modded.
It's begging for it!
The fit and finish was extra good.
I don't know why more don't like the bike, and seem so negative, but then again, I don't understand the same towards the Buell.

I like it. I definitely wouldn't mind owning one. It may not be the most nimble bike on Wolf Pen Gap, but it certainly seems very capable of being fun on Wolf Pen Gap, none the less.

that first pic looks like you totally parked it for a fast getaway off the back alley in case you get caught messin with somebody's daughter

Or maybe thats just how it played out in my neck of the woods. Great shots. Thanks Dave.

Does the XR have a throttle tension device. Something that locks the throttle in position for hands free crusing. I have to be able to take my hand off of the throttle.
A motorcycle scribe said that he thought the XB was the quickest handling production motorcycle made. You hang over the front wheel or at least it feels that way. Completley different ride from the XR I am guessing.
