i have the jardine rt-one, the new air cleaner, and the race ecm, on my 2007 xb9sx. everything is installed correctly and i have had the tps reset two times. the problem is when i get to about four k rpm there is a monstrous lag that sets in until five and a half k rpm. its in the shop getting some stuff done to it right now and i told them my problem. one of the guys told me that since i did not have the race muffler that is suppose to be used with the new ecm, its not running bad. thats the way it is going to run because its a jardine, not the buell pipe. he told me that "buell didnt make the ecm for the jardine pipe." "thats why its lagging like it does." the thing that he didnt think about is that jardine made the pipe for the buell race ecm. my buddy has the same bike with everything i have on it. his is fast as hell compared to mine. pick up is good throttle response is incredible. his bike is running perfect. i am wondering if my ecm is a dud. it happens more often than you think. at least with car ecms. i need all of your wisdom and knowledge. and i hope all that made some sense.

Try another dealer.

Yours is, shall we say, full of it. Unfortunately this is not at all uncommon.

The race ecm will work fine with the Jardine or any other aftermarket pipe, if the ECM is working properly and the TPS is set correctly.

Lots of dealers don't know how to do it.

I think your idea that the ECM is a dud is a possibility.
Intake air leak is another.

Perhaps there is a Bad Webber in your area who has the software and the skill to do a proper TPS reset.

Where do you live?

I have the exact same mods, with no problems. The power has moved more into the higher revs, but there is LOTS more of it. The bike pulls REALLY hard from about 3000 RPM all the way to the redline. It is no slouch off of the line either. Your dealer doesn't know what he is talking about.

I see that you are in Marietta, Ga.

You might want to try Stone Mountain HD/Buell.

They are very supportive of Buells, home of the 3%er's Buell club, sponsor March Badness, and they know how to fix Buells.

They are a Bad Web Sponsor, and all around good peeps.

I second the idea of going to Stone Mountain.. they should be able to get you straight.
And I don't believe there is any type of warranty on the Race ECM.

Warranty? Probably can get them to replace it, BUT it does say for closed course racing use only. Plenty of room there for a uncooperative dealer to not help you.
