I recently got my service manual and was browsing thru.......but I was wondering if anyone knew if there was any other way of checking ignition timing other than with the Digital Technician?

you can make up a static timing lamp with an LED and a 330 ohm resistor in series

Fuel pump cycling on is the equivalent of digital tech going to 5 volts.
