Cleaning the motorcycle regularly gives you the chance to closely examine it for leaks, broken parts, missing parts, et cetera.

I check my oil every time I leave the garage, along with tire pressure and so forth.

Et cetera and so forth. Words to live by.

I find leaks by looking for dark spots in the dirt.
I check the oil when the lifters start getting noisy

whats tire pressure?

Hope you realize this is all in jest (except the dark spots in the dirt)

Dirt is great for finding oil leaks! In fact I ride so much (when not repairing) that a good wash is difficult to make time for.

Jaimec: "I like the high-tech look of carbon fiber. "

Um... CF looks like black burlap sack, or maybe a wicker chair... 2 objects not usually described as "high-tech" looking. If you want a REAL hi-tech look, you have to wrap it in aluminum foil. Freakin' space age, man!

Pwnzor: "It's ugly to begin with, and offers no real benefit for the cost over other plastics. The small amount of weight saved is only going to matter at the highest levels of competition and even then I doubt it. "

AMEN, brother! Marketing hype and expensive fad, I say!

Percyco, THAT IS THE GREATEST ANIMATED GIF EVER!!! LOL! Where in the HELL did you find that??? I'm stealing it, too!

Bads1, if you can tattoo a Buell logo on her tummy, you win!

(BTW, didn't I read somewhere we were supposed to be "family friendly", or something of the sort?)

Carbon fiber makes about as much sense as chrome. To each his own. My doctor said I need more fiber... I assume he meant carbon fiber and who am I to argue??

I can put the buell logo on her, but it won't be readable at that size.

chrome is so easy to maintain. less than 20 minutes, a little bit of windex and a soft cotton towel. i can do all of my chrome bits. the main thing is to not let your bike get away from you. polished parts are ok but maintenance is higher. either way, it nice to see riders setting themselves apart. if it dont go, CHROME IT!!!!

Lance,
So are you the chrome connection?
Looking to get some parts done (depending on finances) and there isn't a shop in my local area. Let me know if you'd like to work something out, or if you are capable of assisting.

I saw you listed the bike on ebay... good luck.
