I'm in the mood to give the D&D a whirl. I have the drummer, but I wanna mess with something a little different. A while back people were complaining that the D&D mounting plates have been cracking. Has this been resolved?

I've heard of only 3 on this forum that have broken and they have had been promptly taken care of by D&D.I had the Drummer and made the switch like both but like what I have better.

Mine cracked.
Drilled a stop hole n it never got any bigger even though I do at least 5 or 6 wheelies per ride.
I've been thinking about getting a drummer because the D&D is just plain too loud for late night riding.

I have the D+Ds in stock.
10% Badweb discount too!
I know of 4 that cracked. I sell about 75 per year. Only 2 that I have sold have had issues and D+D took care of them ASAP.
Great pipe, great company.

I wonder if they would replace mine even though it is a couple years old.
Mine must be one of the first few they made,It doesn't even have the D&D badge on it like the newer ones I've seen.

They still don't come with badges.I called them and asked for a couple.They sent me them no question.I told them they should put them on right from the start...they look great on there.

The newer D&D front plates have a hat section welded on the underside of them to give them bending stiffness. I don't know of any with that addition that have failed. I know of plenty that DON'T have that addition that have not failed.

Totally agree. I had a D&D on my bike for a while and after I finished a ride with a full face helment and earplugs and my ears were still ringing I knew it was time for a change.}}

I have one of the old ones and it cracked. D&D wanted me to take it off the bike and send it back, but I ride every day and wasn't really into doing that. I tried to cold weld it with JB weld, but that didn't work for very long, so I just tore it off and ground down the edge. No problems at all and I still have my obnoxiously loud D&D. Probably shaved a good pound or so off the bike too!
