Hello all! I am about to replace the tires on my XB9sx. The last time I owned a Buell and had tires replaced was in 2010. With the lack of knowledgeable Buell mechanics now, what do you do about tire changes? Do you remove the wheels and take them to a shop or trust a mechanic to do the whole job?

Does anyone have a shop/mechanic in the Charlotte,NC area?

You mount tires yourself as well? Are there any shops you would trust around? I actually live in Fort Mill.

Most trusty mechanics are pretty sloppy with their work and can scratch or damage the rims even with professional grade tools. It is probably because of they do not change motorcycle tires on daily basis and motorcycles tires can be very tricky to change, especially Buell tires, those can be really stiff and snug. If you do not accept any rim scratches or dents there is only one way and it is to change the tires by yourself

I was concerned about that exact thing TPehak as well as damage to the swing arm if they did the whole job. Luckily Sean lives a few miles away and can hopefully teach me the ways of the force.

I sent you an email Sean.
