Has anyone got experience with doing intake seals on a Ulysses with the engine in place VS. rotating the engine?

The rotation procedure looks like a considerable hassle , but I am sure that attempting to remove the throttle body with very little room to work is also not a piknik. Can anyone give me any advice here? which method should I use?
