took the Uly out for a run, running fine. Topped up the gas tank, then, duh-oh, was out of two stroke oil so added maybe 3 ounces of synthetic 20/50 to the tank thinking a little oil around the top end would help weather the winter. Re-started and bike idled around 800 rpm. instead of usual 1100 and then stalled. tried a couple more times same result.

should I be able to burn all that off by just driving the thing or will i need to drain that gas?

Also, what is that sound of a tiny fan i hear from the airbox (not the engine cooling fan) when the ignition is turned on and motor not running?

Sound from airbox is maybe exhaust valve actuator? Or maybe IAC actuator? Or it is fuel pump priming sound?

You might contaminated the spark plugs adding oil in fuel so it might not run even with fresh fuel.

Dude. I did the 2-stroke oil thing with good results, but you are waaaaay over the top here.
1/2oz., NO MORE, and 2-stroke is oil that is designed to be burned. It's not all the same (obviously now, lol)

What year is your bike? DDFI-3 bikes have a "spark plug cleaning feature" that might help, but I kinda doubt it: (

Other wise:
remove the plugs, drain the tank from the 1/8"FPT hole in the FP flange, crank it for 10 seconds, put a LITTLE carb cleaner in the cylinders, crank it again, replace the VERY clean (or new) plugs, fill to the top with fresh fuel and you should be fine.

Have fun in the garage!: )

Just run Lucas, Fuel Injection Cleaner.
If you want a (top cylinder) "lube"...this has it. Along with it's cleaning properties. Been using for MANY years in all of my bikes (and cars), including my XB12s.

The oil that you poured in might have sank, through the fuel, to the bottom of the tank (fuel pump), without much mixing. When you started it up you were probably trying to run a very rich fuel/oil mixture.
