Anybody knows custom shocks options for a 2009 Buell XB12Scg?

I am looking for inline shock without gas can to clear some space under seat. Something like this https://www.penskeshocks.com/product/8975-in-line- double-adjustable/

I saw some people successfully installed Penske rear shocks on Buell XB9S. But Buell XB12Scg has shorter rear shock absorber (shortest shock length across XB platform) and probably different stroke, so I'm sure it will not fit Scg properly. I basically need same shock length and same stroke as original Scg rear shock absorber.

I also concern about rear shock interface. The shock should have mounting interface similar to original Buell XB rear shock mounting interface so it will fit without issues.

Thank you for the link.

It looks like they don't do shocks for Scg

Try any raceTech authorized center(Usually dirt bike repair shops more into this) tell them what you are looking for and they most likely can rebuild your existing shock to meet your new requirements while refreshening or renewing to new specs ie; spring weight for rider length of spring, total length of shock etc

I am looking for different rear shock with no remote gas can. I do not think they can eliminate the gas can on stock Buell XB rear shock. The only option I see is to buy another shock which has no gas can and which is possible to adjust to necessary length and stroke.

I already emailed to Penske and to Traxxion Dynamics with my questions but have no response yet. Maybe they are out of service, or maybe they sell only existing products and do nothing else.

OK, I got response from Traxxion Dynamics and they don't know about suspension for Scg. Penske still keeps dead silence.

I would call Racetech. I think you would be surprised at what they can do. I've heard of companies retrofitting the stock shock (Removal of the nitrogen bladder, extending the line for more remote mounting, etc.)to make it work for a specific application. I've even seen folks mount the stocker upside down. Worth a conversation at least.

I emailed to Race Tech with details yesterday. Still have no response yet.

Also their webside product searching tool does not show any supension for Scg. Actually none of the suspension companies I checked show any rear shock for Scg model. There are some stuff for longer rear shock XB models though.

OK. One month later after contacting a bunch of motorcycle suspension companies I got no any positive response even I provided all necessary sizes and requirements. I interpret this a none of them can do this work and none of them can build rear shock for Buell XB12 SCG.

Anyway I found the way to adopt the stock Buell XB12 SCG rear shock with remote gas reservoir in the the custom frame.

No I have not. Also aftermarket Buell XB12Ss rear shock actually exists and produced by different companies. Basically it is not really custom built rear shock, this is just standard configuration rear shock companies developed long time ago and this configuration fits Buell XB12Ss. Those companies catalogues (like Penske, Nitron etc) have Buell XB12Ss in their configurations list. But this rear shock does not fit Buell Scg.

I see they use Nitron and Ohlins components and those do not have Buell SCG configuration according their websites. Probably all those shock shops do not build really custom stuff which is not in the list. They just assemble the components in configurations those companies listed. And none of them have Buell Scg in their list.
