Has anyone worked out an jig or support for jacking the bike from underneath with one of the aftermarket mufflers not based on the stock? I find jacking the bike from underneath much more convenient than front and rear wheel stands.

I've hung them from the ceiling beams. Don't know if it will work for you, just a thought.

Pretty difficult to move the bike on a jack..!?

I've use all three, the frt., rr stands, have used the hanging method, AND the jack under the muffler. While I modified the stock muffler, I did leave the interior support inside the muffler.

And yea, the jack under the muffler...is the LEAST supportive.

You want to move the bike around, buy one of these -

I have used my engine hoist to support the bike.

I've got a bike lift on casters, and made a jig for the stock muffler. Works great as it has lift points, and moveable. What muffler are you trying to lift on?

I move mine around on the paddock stands (rear or both) MUCH easier than on a jack??

If your stuck on the idea, I'd lift it on stands, then make a frame with casters, bolt it to the lower engine case and remove the stands.

Thanks everyone. I have the bike up on jack for the winter with a jig for stock muffler. Just to let the suspension relax and stop getting flat spots on the tires. My wife has this crazy idea that her car should be allowed into the garage so the bike is off to the side. It is handy to be able to slide it out sideways. Don't have a lot of room for paddock stands plus would have to remove the Uly front fender to get the front stand into the steering stem. the other kind of stand would keep weight on the fork springs. I am thinking of getting a Buelltooth ST exhaust or a Drummer. I am leaning toward the Buelltooth (expect the Drummer might be too loud) but this convenience is a bit of a factor. Not that big a deal.
