Hey guys, I got my Uly in April and have done some tuning to try to fix some of the sputter and stall issues. Ended up getting Buelltooth and applied a map they provided for k&n and stock exhaust. It runs better but often when I cold start it. It sounds like the exhaust valve is toggling on and off and then it starts to run bad. Kinda like a hickup that sounds like a tiny sneeze. Then the Rpms fluctuate and then either stableizes or stalls . After that it runs ok. Any ideas?

Assuming the bike is a '06 or '07, and there no other underlying issues.

Bring the engine to operating temperature.
Then set the TPS value to zero.
Start the engine; adjust idle speed to 1050~1100 RPM and no higher.

How the engine runs at cold start is what it it is...

'08 or later I got nothing for you.

Then it's a completely different system than the '07 and under bikes.

Your DDFI-3 ECM uses a Idle Air Control valve to set idle speed, not a knob.
The same ECMDroid program you used to install the fuel map with the "Buelltooth" bluetooth communication link has a ton of diagnostic info.

Go to "Live Data" and see what the IAC is doing.

You should have re-set the TPS after messing with the fuel maps. Did you?

Thanks guys, I had done the tps reset a few months ago but was not instructed to do so after changing the maps. I gave it a try this morning. Dunno if it fixed it yet. If not I'll try checking the IAC.

I'll let you know. Thanks

Thanks Shoggin! that did it. No more little girl sneezes. It's still actuating the muffler valve on and off during cold start. I had removed a check mark from on only at WOT. Maybe I'll put it back and observe.
