Friend of mine has an XB and on star up he is getting white smoke/ blue. Also wont idle. Comments? Ring blow by? Fresh rebuild 16000 miles ago.

I suggest popping off the airbox to see if perhaps the breathers are spraying lots of oil or something.

Did he recently change the oil?
Perhaps it's just overfilled.
