Healtech as a specific harness but only compatible for 03 to 07 MY because this model have a 3 pin deutch connector under the front sprocket cover. 08 to 2010 XBs have the connector right on the VSS. I wanted to build a specific harness but only the oem VSS connector is available, no male plug is available by Delphi ( on this side is always a device, as the VSS on the Buell XB ). I have to modify the harness: VSS plug is pretty unaccessible. I have now to options: 1. cut the signal wire near the ECM 2. a easier and cleaner instalation right under the cluster instrument I want to go with the 2nd option but i have a doubt reading the electrical plan. VSS give his signal to the ECM to the pin 16 on the grey connector. If i understand correctly that's the ECM who give the signal to the tachometer form the ECM pin 22 ( black connector ), this is named " Tachometer Output " and this wire goes to pin 14 on the tachometer. Do you think , between the ECM and the tachometer, it's the same signal as between the VSS and the ECM ? I realy like to instal the speedohealer at this point if possible. |

For a 2008+ XB I would not recommend using a Speedo healer. If you use TunerPro RT you can easily adjust "VSS Input Scaling Factor" to compensate for tire size and gearing changes. |
