Hi.i am new here so please be understanding to me.
well I have 2006 uly and the problem I am having is that my bike when idling will die if I give it tiny amount of throttle.to be precise between 0 and 10%.I did the tps reset and noticed that the throttle voltage is dropping to 0.75 when backing the idle screw out and not to 0.but that has been covered in other thread saying that it always has to have some base voltage(correct me if iam wrong).then I started to screw the idle screw back and the voltage would start rising before throttle position would...is it normal?anyway the bike would only idle when the screw is backed out totaly and not touching the plate so when the tps is at 0%.if I set it to anything between 0 and 5.5% bike starts to sputter and backfire and wont idle properly so I left it backed out at 0% and let it idle at 850 to 950
so now it idles and rides fine exept that 0-10%tps.when I blip the throttle there is nice response but when I just roll it on by tiny amount the bike sputters and wont idle.but its just fine right after that point.when I am riding at any speed same thing happen when I give it anything between 0-10% in any gear.so it is not just idle but it shows there best.
pls help me out I am stuck.

When you back out your idle screw, open the throttle and let it snap shut. It will feel almost bound up afterwords.

Also today I checked and this is happening regardless of current revs..it is like it would be bound to throttle position.only happens with tiny amount of it.and my idle screw is backed out totaly..if I turn it in a little then throttle position goes anywhere between 0-10% and it wont idle...so my idle screw is backed out so it doesnt touch the plate.

one more last question...could it also be caused by me changing any options in ecm spy?

Do the TPS reset again. As mentioned above, MAKE SURE that the stop screw is backed off completely (the butterfly will stick slightly to the throttle body) before the reset. Then adjust the stop screw to raise the reading to 5.1 to 5.3. start the bike until engine is in "open loop" mode (140 degrees C engine temp) and THEN adjust idle speed to between 1050 and 1150 rpm idle speed.

Snapping the throttle shut will actually close the butterfly a little more than the spring alone will pull it. This will give you, your proper zero-point to do your TPS reset. Is your airbox off and open ?can you actually see into the throttle body ? You can watch the idle screw contact the throttle cam? Does the butterfly rotate smoothly with throttle input ?
Just trying to understand exactly what's happening.

yes i have taken off the airbox and backed off the screw way back and until the voltage stopped dropping which is about 2-3 turns from when the tps % zeros out.then i did tps reset and then started to screw back in until it reached 5.1 but at that position bike wont idle.it sputters and fires through the airbox.To make it idle i need to back out the idle screw so its not even touching the plate and the tps is showing 0%.the it will nicely idle but if i start to screw in and tps is rising even to 0.1 - 0.3 it starts to stumble.if i roll on throtlhe past 10 % its nice and smooth.even when i am riding lets say in 3rd gear and at 4k rpm and close throttle and then give it a tiny bit...i can feel it jerking the engine and backfiring.so its not rpm related...it is like the engine wouldnt know what to do in the range from 0% to 10% of the throttle...so i dont know if i messed something up in the ecm spy or what...you say i should do tps reset in open loop?that means in overview it should be green box with open loop in it yes?and how could i change this to make it run in closed loop?

and yes the butterfly moves smoothly and freely.and i have cleaned the tps with wd40 today and it didnt help.

After following this thread and seeing many TPS resets with no real progress. Is it possible that TPS sensor is bad or worn in the range being delt with? Just a suggestion.

Ok..solved!!!!!!!!!!!!
So It turns out I did not do a proper tps reset before so little advice to anyone who might not know how to interpret it.
when doing the tps reset u need to get the tps % to zero...and in this place lots of threads say to turn the screw back another 2 turns...noo!!!when the tps %reaches 0 then you need to pay attention to throttle
voltage.keep rocking it and at the same moment screwing the idle out..and keep snapping until the voltage stops dropping.in my case it dropped to 0.58v.and before it was at 0.75.as no one made it clear that it is relevant.
now thank you all for fast response.and for all comments and advices.my uly running great again.
