Hey Guys,
My brother is thinking of buying this yellow XB12 from a dealer in Big Bend WI. Does anybody know about the history of this bike?

I actually just bought my first XB9 from the same dealer (I assume Jamie's) decent people to work with. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on these bikes and as I figured they overfilled the oil (most dealers don't realize the oil is checked on side stand) thus it was way overfilled, also changed plugs, as my bike was extremely low mileage and starting-stopping without rides will foul them in no time. I recommend your brother does his research and spends some time on Badweb to perform basic inspection and service. These bikes are way fun, but have their mysterious ways. He should learn ECMSPY and know TPS (throttle position sensor) reset process.

IMO, get an 1125R if you want a Buell. I'm tired of that boat anchor of an engine being an unreliable weak link in an otherwise great handling, beautifully engineered chassis.

Yes, there are probably a few that may last for a good while. I just wish my "baby it, but it stills breaks" xb were as reliable as my "beat the hell out of and still win races 3 seasons later" Kawi racebike. : (

Sorry for the rant. : )

Oil is also checked HOT which is important or you may overfill it.
