Hey fellas,

I may have a complete XB12Scg suspension swap kit going up for sale. coming off my 2010. Figured I'd drop a note here to check interest and get a feel for what it's worth before I go trying to hawk this stuff elsewhere. I'm switching to a 12S/SX setup and not sure I'm going to keep my OEM stuff, as I usually do, since I'm trying to tame my pack-ratty ways. ultimately though, it's going to depend on how I like the feel after the swap and whether it would be worth selling, or make more sense to keep.

7,838 miles on the setup as it sits. no crashes, drops, etc. Only thing is some wear on the preload adjusters on the tops of the fork tubes. bike lives in the garage.

If I decide to sell, it will be the as a complete set only. I will not be parting it out separately. this will include front tubes, lower triple, complete rear shock assy, and the side stand.

let me know what you guys think.

Will this fit an 05? I'm not sure when the stuff switched around.

I'd be trying to convert an 05 XB9 to the SCG suspension.

Jbolt was asking for an SCG suspension a couple posts down, think he had the newer style R so it should fit his.

Yes I an '08 R. And I'm looking for someone to swap front tubes, lower triple, complete rear shock assy, and the side stand with.

I have an XB STT with about 5,000 miles. I'm in Richmond. I MIGHT be interested in a swap if you don't already have the parts. The STT suspension is sooo nice and smooth that I may have a tough time getting rid of it, but it sure would be nice to be a bit lower.

The SS/STT/X/XT models are not compatible with the S/R/SCG/SL suspensions.

Starbellied_sneetch - The forks and shock off an 06-08 SS will drop right in and lower you roughly an inch. The 09-10 SS has the same height forks and shock as your STT.

Thanks for the tip, Froggy. Too bad the stuff from a 2003 XB9 won't fit. I have one of those in my garage that is immobile because the bearing for the front drive belt sprocket/pulley (whatever it's called) is toast.
