did buell produce police bikes this guy says so but I've never heard of one.http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/2614980652.ht ml any opinions on this?

Buell did produce a very small number of police bikes. You could also post this up in the Big, Bad, & Dirty (Uly) section of Badweb to see what those guys think.

Yes, Buell built 139 copies of the XB12XP police bike. : )

Well I guess I learned something new today. So other than the lights and siren is it any different than a regular uly?

Lights, siren, siren mounting frame, Outdoorsman luggage standard, lights on luggage, lights on hand guards, Tall windshield standard, some additional wiring for the said accessories, and a slightly different ECM programming. Other than that it is a your run of the mill 2009 or '10 Ulysses XB12X.

Did it have a higher output charging system? Seems it might need it to handle all the extra electronics.

No. All the extra lights are LED, and I'm not sure of the power requirements of the siren, but I can assure you my bikes have more crap on them.

Thank you for the info. I'm kind of on the search for another buell though this one is out of the price range for me I think a uly is gonna be my next buell never ridden one though.

There were S2 cop biles . . . the East Troy PD and a couple others had them.

you will notice that the bike on craigslist has bags that have been painted. not stock that way. that bike has been for sale for awhile, i believe it was on ebay for awhile too. seems like i remember reading it was used in a movie at some point.
