I need help locating this part. The pivot bolt for an 04 xb12. Harley shop here is no help and the bolt is pretty specialized so the hardware store is out of question.

part number

L0174.1AA or L0174.1AA(B or D)

Anyone ever have that bolt come loose and then shear off at the threaded end? Nothing worse than walking away and turning to see you bike fall over in slow motion. AAAHHH.

American Sport Bike has the kickstand upgrade that might be worth your time. There is also a post showing how one person dealt with this problem with a little machining and creating a replacement.

I fixed mine by buying a used 2005 kickstand on eBay.
The bolt design has been modified and improved.

Not sure what the Buell parts situation on eBay might be since the late unpleasantness, but it might be worth a try.

I am rather certain that the part you require has been out of stock for several years.

My bolt sheared off the threaded end, so I just removed the broken piece and stuck the piece back it. It has been like that for some time without any issues.

I managed to make my own using a cotter bolt and some spacers. Seems to work well so far and hey it was a total of $4.25 at the hardware store. Who knew. Thanks for the help everyone.
