I was considering an XB12STT. However, I noticed on the stock seat, it has a large passenger icon with a line through it indicating, "No Passengers." Is this due to the subframe/seat being to flimsy or just a DOT requirement since the bike has no passenger pegs? If I want to carry a passenger someday, would I have to buy a whole new subframe or can I just slap on some pegs and be done with it? In a related question, what is the most comfortable two-up seat for this bike and are the seats and pegs hard to come by now that Buell is no longer in indentured servitude to HD?

The STT's rear suspension is sprung for a single rider.

The rest of the bike is the same as an SS.

You'd need a better seat (more padding) for the passenger and foot pegs to carry a passenger.

Keep in mind that the suspension won't have the range of adjustment, but for short trips and "burger night" you should be fine.

Buell sold a 2up conversion kit for the STT, it was just passenger pegs and a different seat. Requires removal of the number plates.

You can get used peg brackets and a seat cheap. : )

Thanks Ft_Bstrd and Froggy... On the suspension, how light is it sprung? I'm 215 in gear and like .95 kg/mm fork springs usually... Not sure about the rear spring rate that I normally use as I seem to usually find the adjustment works ok with whatever spring I've had, but is the STT sprung that soft?
