Hey all, I've been riding 20 some years on all types of bikes. I've had a hankerin' for a Buell since the X1. My current ride is a Bandit 1200S with a Muzzy full exhaust, stage one jets, timing advancer and superbike bars. I like it but it just doesn't do it for me...I want something with more character and something that's much more tossable...less maintenance would be a plus as well. Buells have all that in spades Anyway come spring I'm thinking of sellin' the B12 and picking up a Buell...been leaning toward the Firebolt but after loads of research maybe the Lightning Ss would be the better bike for me. Luckily there's a Buell dealership just down the street from where I work (new job) and I can start swingin' by during lunch, maybe get a good rapport going with the guys and try to get the best deal I can. So howdy from Edmonton...I hope to see some of ya on the roads this Spring...and I'll keep ya posted on my journey toward Buelldom |

Not only that, but I believe the main Buell store there is the front for Buell Canada. My bro lives in Edmonton, starting to think about riding out to see him next year. |

I can't say this enough, DEMO DEMO DEMO! Each bike has its purpose, perhaps just sitting on one will be all you need to convince you. Worked for me |

Oh yea be glad you found us, we can help answer all your questions and concerns as you go along. Also you should note, for 2009 the Lightning Long (SS) merged with the STT. It has the look of the SS, but the STT's taller more cushy suspension. STT has been put out to pasture. Also another thing, the bikes are like legos, see another color combo on another bike? You can get it on your bike. All Buell's except for the Blast use the same airbox covers and the same rims. Take a peek at the catalog of goodies, lots of cool stuff http://www.buell.com/en_us/_media/pdfs/gear/Buell- Products-Catalog.pdf |

Your demo day is next Sunday. It's at Trev Deeley's who is the Canadian distributor for Buell. Can't get much better than that. My demo day is next Saturday. The local dealership is pretty good compared to some of the horror stories I've heard. The service rep used to ride Buell, maybe still does. The sales rep still does. One of the accessories reps does also. |

Thanks for the info guys...I have been comparing the specs on the 07/08/09 lineup/accessories for all of the XB's...every year they seem to get more tempting the 09 Ss pretty much nails it...mebbe with black body work and amber wheels...hmmmm... |

Trev Deeley is in Vancouver BTW, you will have to wait for next summer for a demo day but that doesn't mean you can't get a demo ride at the dealership, if they really want to sell they will let you try it. |

My bad. Still trying to figure out why I was sure that Deeley was based in Edmonton. Good thing you made me look that up. I had been considering a plan of flying to my brother's and buying at Deeleys and touring the Rockies with him. Ha, maybe I'll go to Vancouver and tour without him. |

Deeley is in Vancover and Toronto. As a distributer they are as useless as boobs on a Nun. If your buying any accessories order them from the USA and you'll save atleast 20% even after paying shipping. Not to mention many accessories aren't imported by Deeley. Oh and don't bother calling Buell Customer Service from Canada they will just make you call Deeley and Deeley will tell you to only call your dealer. Of course the dealer says Buell is looking into the issue. Just my personal experience. I love my bike and plan on keeping it for years but when I buy a second bike it won't be a Buell or HD product as long as Deeley is involved. |
