Anyone know how the Corbin Gunfighter compares to the stock low seat as on the XB9SL/XB12SCG models in terms of comfort and seat height?

I have both on my '04 12S which I put the cg suspension on. I like the low seat for around town and when hitting the twisties with my friends at March Badness. However, the GF is much more comfy for rides of any distance. The GF is slightly higher also. Very plush compared to the stock seat or the low seat in my opinion.

I can tell you the newer textured low seat is more comfortable then the older leather looking low seat.

i like the gunfighter. the seat feels more like a "sportbike" seat that i can move around on in the twisties. it is higher than the low seat, but i thought they were both very firm.

the low seat i liked better for around town when i'd just be sitting in the seat.

I have the Gunfighter seat and love it. I think it looks the best out of all the seats; more aggressive and styley. However, it took a long time to break in for me (about 5000 miles). When it was new, it was hard as a rock. It also lends itself well to sporty riding.

I had my stock seat modified by Spencer and was amazed at the difference b/t stock (no difference in look from stock). I went the full-boat with the LD gel. I think mine was $75 +shipping. He offers 24 hour turn-around. Take a look, drop him a line and see what you think.

My stock low seat (03) was like a piece of plywood with vinal over it. I replaced with the Select seat and my ass has been thanking me ever since.

Black snake

A major improvement over the Scg seat. If you like the HD heritage of the bike, chop the tail and put one of these saddles on. Many people will see HD right off.

I'm all of 29" of inseam. Had them take some padding taken out of the sides and move the bake of the pilot seat forward an inch.

+ seat back in better positioned relative to my size and low bars. I think it looks better.
+ long rides not an issue now.
+ seat is major improvement for passenger.
+ all around it looks kind of cool

don't count out the BUELL streetfighter seat . replaced the stock seAT on my 03-s and love it . very comfortable , + it does'nt have that "cleavage" thing going on that the select seat does. the streetfighter seat is very cost effective ! (bonus)

I put the Gunfighter on my Scg too and think it is a major improvement. It's firm but comfortable enough for me to take 500 mile daytrips with no problems. Fit and finish is of course superior as well. A little pricey, but not so much I'm sorry I bought one.

Hey that's a nice seat by the way John. I like that you had the back of the seat custom-fit.

After 30 minutes with the low seat I was squirming around and couldn't wait to get off the bike because it was so uncomfortable. I got a Corbin seat and now I have no problems.
