Hi all. Stator and rotor done awhile ago, but haven't ridden or wrenched for close to 2 yrs. due to family care demands. Bought a SH 847 from Roadstercycle back then, finally have a wee bit of time to install it. Has anyone installed one behind license plate on stock tail piece? If so, any issues from vibration due to extra weight? Or same question using a tail tidy from RG racing? Thanks in advance for info and advice.

there may be a contact issue at full suspension travel check to be sure.

Old dog - thanks for that. Will try to do that this w.e. To my thinking they both appear to have enough space, esp. stock piece. Just concerned about the additional weight "hanging" out at the end of stock piece, since I expect it's (ABS?) plastic.

The plate support is fairly sturdy but
there can be clearance issues. I presume that the regulator faces down

the tire is close when the rear is bottomed out.

Oldog, thanks again. I think there is room for the 847VR mounted high on plate support, cooling fins facing forward, and connections at top. I tried to compress rear suspension over last w.e., but I know I didn't get that close to full bump. I think it will be close but ok. Thanks again.
