Hey all - My 1125R has been on a non-op license for awhile now because it was just too loud with a Drummer and too uncomfortable for my old ass. So, with some extra time I have ditched the Drummer, installed a stock pipe, installed uly pegs and I'm in the process of fitting some protaper dirt bike bars.

The question is does anyone have a source for exhaust tips to send the fumes away from the rear brake rotor. Google was not helpful. Thanks!

I got a pair of one (single bend)...bend tubes for mine. Look like the factory tubes if you cut off the secondary muffler. Same overall shape, and bend radius. Nice and snug to the swing arm.
Try these guys, nice people.

Yeah, I just had an old cracked exhaust laying around, cut the primaries near a Bend on the exit side and with some straight on the muffler side, slid them over the existing tips, welded them in place, sanded the entire boat anchor and painted it black. Pretty much any tubing with a bend and the right ID will work if you’ve got a hacksaw and a way to tack them down - electrically or chemically

$10, a hacksaw, some grinding, SS hose clamps and black heat paint. Be sure to grind the ends so they are arced on their vertical edges to not touch the road as the bike corners. At full lean, every millimeter is needed. If you were to look from the back you would see a nice single vert curve for both. Advance or Autozone have these tips for about $5 each. Do not pull, hack or remove the original SS tips! Maybe shorten them if needed. Just slice the new tip ends into 3 or four tabs, bend a bit, slide over the old tips and clamp on. Keeps the hub and spokes clean too.

Did some digging around for a couple of old posts on topic:

Got some links in there as well, but didn't check to see if they are still good.

Just playing devils advocate here but I am not an engineer but I can see the issues of the factory outlets would have on fouling the rear disc and the swing arm etc etc. Surely the designers of the bike had a reason to have them that way and not install the turn out pipes from the factory. Erik being a engineer and designed such things as fuel in frame, ZTL brakes etc etc etc surely would have seen this when they were designing the bike. ?

If I remember correctly it was said it was deliberate to aim the exhaust at the rotor as it deflected the sound in two lowering the measured sound output during compliance testing.
