I replaced my throttle body about 3 months ago. Yesterday on my ride, I had the bike (backfire through the air box) at a stop sign. No big deal, it has happened before. Well when I got home, I shut off the bike and let it sit to cool. When I went to put it in the garage, I noticed the throttle was sticking about 3/4 wide open! Long story short, when it backfired it lifted the front portion of the throttle body to the point that the linkage was hitting the rubber seal on the air box seal. I didn't tighten the front clamp enough. I feel lucky that the throttle didn't stick open on my ride!
