So what the deal? It has a fancy Italian name and was supposed to go on the 2010s, but is there any advantage to this throttle body compared to the TBs on the 08s and 09s? It's so damn cheap, I am tempted to buy one just for the hell of it...

It's the same TB. Get 'em while you can.

I would, but I don't see the TB as a part of a potential failure down the road...besides it looks like I have a donor 1125R since no one wants to buy the darn the thing for a reasonable price.

I am more worried about belts and gaskets as this bike gets older and older. Are we going to be forced to abandon our 1125s because parts will become unavailable?

Certainly my worry, just bought a belt and two steering head bearings to put in storage, will add another belt when I can.

The TPS and the IAC are worth at least $94. Plus, it has new rubber fittings that go to the IAC manifold to the TB. I was getting a air leak at those fittings anyways.

I discovered a few months ago that the hose from my airbox to the IAC was commpletely missing. Not good to have unfiltered air being sucked into the TBs. I suggest that a small zip tie is used to secure the L-shaped hose onto the IAC nipple.

Yes, it is bad to have unfilter air going into the intake! What I was talking about was not the snorkel looking tube that goes on the IAC, but the two rubber "grommets" that seal the IAC housing to the TB.

Pure "Will" power! My 2009 with 18,000 ish miles on it, started to backfire on decel. I did a search on backfiring. Which lead me to check some stuff. I found that when I sprayed carb cleaner (engine cold, right after start up), on the IAC,the rpms changed. Now with the NOS TB on it,the idle is stable! I just got back from a 100 mile plus ride, no more backfiring on decel.

What's the "NOS" throttle body?

Good work figuring out and fixing the problem!

Price went from $95 to $120. I was going to buy one to put up as wall art. Not anymore. although it's probably still a great deal at $120.

Yes it was a great deal! I think he figured it out. I saw on Ebay, a right or left side fairing for $65 something plus $20 something for shipping. After sleeping on it, and struggling with spending even more money on the beast. I decided to check it again the next morning, and it was sold! Now that was a deal!

Yes, that top photo is of one of the two I ordered. One had shipping damage, and he sent me out another new one, but it had a machining mistake but had all of the parts that I need to fix the shipping damage, stand up ebayer for sure! He has a 100% rating.

I got mine today, ordered it before the price increase.

Willmrx, where did you find a machining mistake?

Harlan, there’s another seller on EBay with the same assembly listed for $200 plus $12 shipping.

Panshovevo, the two I got are perfect, except some shipping damage. The Ebay seller sent me a NOS TB with some machining mistake in the bore, to replace the one that got damaged in shipping. I am going to remove the part I need from the replacement he sent me. The replacement he sent, still has the IAC and TPS on it as well.
