Have had my '08 1125R since new and I'm finally getting ready to give her exhaust some love and have it down to 2 options... Barkers or Keda Rt-3. I know they are both LOUD as are pretty much all options... But I like the option of the quiet core on the Barkers, do I have to purchase a new ecm matched to it or could I re-map with the Buelltooth? I may also have a chance to buy a slightly used rt-3 with matching ecu for a decent price. I haven't heard either of these in person so any input is appreciated.

I've had both mufflers on the same '08 1125CR. I really liked the Barkers and thought the quiet core made it bearable. I didn't notice a difference in power either way, or a difference in lap times.

The Keda is a beautiful piece, I like hand crafted race stuff vs. a standard looking muffler, and dramatically louder too. Ear plugs will be mandatory.

The best option is to get IDS to re-program your ECM or supply you with a new plug-and-play one.

I am very adept at using ECMDroid to install existing fuel programs and thats an option as well, as long as you know the source of that program is verified to be the one you need.

Either way its a worthwhile upgrade, much lighter and you'll like the race type ECM program. Really wakes up the bike!

Great to hear from someone who has ran both of them. Really like the look and sound of the Keda, only downfall seems to be the inability to tone it down... Especially since I occasionally ride to work and leave at 6 in the morning.

I ride most Saturdays starting at 6 am. My garage faces an alley that's all downhill to a little industrial complex so I coast it there to start her up.
I know people still hate me, but they don't know who I am!

You can hear it for BLOCKS!

You must be doing something to make your bike heard for blocks.

When I hear people riding in this manner, it makes me want to break out my truck, track them down and use them like a big speedbump. And if I didn't think I might goto jail for a while, I would seriously do it.

My RT4 is awesome, I love my KEDA. And Dean’s customer service is second to none! The KEDA sounds amazing, it is deep and full of bass. At idle I like to say it sounds like an old V8 with an aggressive cam.

As far as loudness, I’ve been told you can hear it from far away. I’ve never let it run and walked that far away, but with it idling outside my Cement Brick Structure I can hear it in the top floor backside room. I wear earplugs every time I ride. If I am going 80 on the highway, I can barely hear my Sena 20S with apple maps on the loud setting, and you can forget about hearing music. At lower speeds you can more easily hear everything. And I use the stock speakers, aftermarket ones should be better.

If I were to buy a new exhaust again, I would buy from Dean Adams.

Calm down Fresno. No need to start murdering other Buellers quite yet. I'm not starting my bike at 6am and slamming redline through neighborhoods immediately....

The exhaust on the motorcycle is very loud. Even at 3000rpm cruise.
