I feel like a fool, and I need yalls help. Ive changed tires on my 1125 several times before, but Im having a HELL of a time right now. On the front - I cant get the axle to go in on brake side and start threading. Ive wiggled, Ive worked it, I dont know. On back - how the hell do I get this thing back IN?! I cant get the tire past the rear caliper without scraping the swingarm on the rear sprocket. Im frustrated as heck. Im sorry for venting and begging for help | ||

Remember, axles are reverse threaded, so righty loosey, lefty tightly. Also try threading the axle with out the wheel to verify everything is still good, no boogered threads Take the rear caliper off, it ends up being easier in my experience than wiggling around it. | ||

there are holes in the rear disc that align with the caliper mounting bolts...like Froggy sez ... take the caliper off...put the wheel on...install the axle( LH Thread) and don't forget to tighten the "pinch bolt"...use a short allen wrench (8mm?)or a piece of one and a small box or combo wrench to tighten the piece of allen wrench on the caliper bolts... a little loctite on those bolts helps hth | ||

You know, now that you mention it, I remember removing the caliper before, now that you mention the holes in the disc. I'll try threading without wheel (that was a pain too, with front caliper off!), to make sure it's all ok there | ||

On the rear you don’t need to remove the caliper. Just lift the wheel up very high when putting it in to clear the caliper. You might put some tape on the wheel because the caliper will come very close to the wheel lip. You can do it with the rear fender on and it will bend the fender up quite a bit without damage. | ||

I have found that removing the caliper is easier than the method above. |
