The 1125R I bought a few months ago came with Buell Race fairings. The bike was low-sided in it’s last race, and the front fairing and one side fairing need some high quality repair.

I have done some ‘glass work, but don’t feel I could do these pieces justice.

I have a couple of neighbors who are quite talented, but one is too busy building and selling 3D printers, and the other is just an .

If you are damn good at it, send me a PM with an email address, and I’ll send you detailed pics for an estimate.

Race fairings are cheap for a reason.

IMO just buy the pieces you need and a couple extras JIC : )

Shoggin, I may be wrong or mis-informed, but I was under the impression that the Surlyn side fairings were relatively inexpensive, but the true composite lightweight race fairings were quite pricey.

I'm not sure what brand you're running on there, but here is a replacement option.

I've always ran these on my race bike, they're pretty nice.

fairings are very easy to fix. when I did mine I used parchment paper duck taped that to the outside of the fairing then I filled it with some sort of epoxy. a little sanding and wahala!

They are Buell Race brand fairings.

They are very light, and I want to keep them as light as possible.

At a guess, I would say the side pieces weigh less than half of a Surlyn piece. Same with the nose fairing.

99BuellX1, my first ‘08 came with an older set of what was the CRC fairings.
I wasn’t impressed with the fit. They may be better now, I don’t know.
The new owner isn’t too far from me. I could possibly take a drive to see them if I was leaning that way.

I’m not giving up on fixing what I have though. There are probably hundreds of fiberglass guys in this boat town, but a couple of extra pounds of filler on an average boat doesn’t make much difference.
