Hi everyone,
I stepped in to ask your folks opinion on something. I've always wanted a bike, and only this fall bought my 1st one, 2009 1125R. I am happy about the ride, but there is a lot I need to learn about it, especially technical aspect. Now, I am about to replace my brake rotors and I saw there are Galfer rotors that look great and unlike the ones I've got on my bike at the moment. So I thought of installing a set on my bike, as long as they perform not worth than the regular ones. here are the ones I was looking at: https://www.motorcycleid.com/galfer/standard-solid -mount-wave-brake-rotor-mpn-df820w.html?singleid=5 85838632&url=113473830
Also, when you get such rotors, will they work okay with the regular pads? I've read on the BMW Nine-T forum that for their bikes there is a pad set that works better with such kind of rotors, but what about Buells? I appreciate any help or comments, folks. And apologize for the noob question. J

If you can look for posts from Jduggar ( wizard of whoa)...in Texas, he used the 1125r as his mount in teaching at track days

I appreciate your reply, @Nuts4mc. I am new to your forum, so didn't manage to learn every aspect of it. Thanks for your help!

For street riding, the rotor is basically the same as stock. I've been happy with them on my XBs. For track usage, they are not as good as stock according to those with more experience than me, but I had no problem with them for novice class track days. If you are going to be frequenting the track you will want something else like the EBR rotors.

Any one with any experience with the TSU Boss front rotor? I have never heard of them before. See here.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Buell-1125-2008-Front-Tsuboss-Wavy-Brake-Disc-BL02FID/142213207700?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

FOr that kind of coin, I would get the EBR rotors. I have the finned Buell rotor and love it. That Galfer looks like its a warp ready to happen.

I ran Galfer on my XB and 1125 with no issues. The have a distinct swooshing sound when stopping. If you shop around a bit, you can probably get a front one for closer to $200.
