Does anyone have a high resolution photo of the front your Buell 1125R. Head on.

I'm trying to get decals made of the headlights. The ones you see did not turn out as well as hoped. I found someone that can make them but needs a good photo.

Not intending to side track the thread to much but I will. What side fairings are you running? Your bike looks good man.

Awesome! Thank you.

I’m not sure how high res he needs but here’s my email.

Please send as high as it will send.

CFBoss@roadrunner.com

The bodywork is 1st generation from Flexiglass.
The front fairing is one of two new styles with ram air.
He also makes one that you can keep your original lights in. I will have to shorten the decals slightly due to the ram air opening on mine.

I’ll send send some more pics.

Here are the two versions I mentioned.

Ask for Trev Beckman at Flexiglass.

I can get you his number if you need it.

He’s a great guy.

Did you run ducting from the opening?

Trev is still working on the ducting. I hope to get it soon.

So is the ducting supposed to connect with the intake? Thanks for the other information. I sent an email to Trev about the plastics they have. How were they to mount? Much modification needed or did it fit well out of the box?

I have a CR not the R. I’m sure I’m not the first guy to think about what a CR would look like with side fairings. I’ve even toyed with the idea of converting it to a R. I would Have bought one but the insurance would have killed me and I have a fairly clean record.

Yes. The ducting is supposed to connect the fairing intake with the intake below the steering. The only issue with this bodywork is that it eliminates the cooling fans. No big deal if you’re track only. However on the street it would get hot in town.

I do have a full fairing that bolts right up to the stock fan shrouds. No mods needed and you can keep the fans.
Unlike the stock and the Flexiglass fairing, this one is all one piece except for the bellypan.

It’s hanging in my basement (literally).

Oh that’s sucks don’t think I could get rid of the fans. Yep literally. Haha
The other one looks good what brand is that?

It would die... but only a bit quicker than it would with the fans!

CF - the ones hanging in your garage, do they allow for use of a kickstand?

The bike in front is a 1999 factory race bike from the old AMA Pro Thunder series. I'm hoping to run an AHRMA race with it in the future.

The Flexiglass fairings would certainly kill a street bike but the one that is hanging would function just the same as the street "pods" on a stock bike. I think you might have to trim the belly pan a bit for the kickstand but it's certainly possible.

The nice design of the Flexiglass fairings is it passes the air from the inside out, keeping the hot air off the motor and intake. Opposite of the factory approach.

Airtech makes bodywork that retains the fans.

Here’s a better image of the other fairing.

More streetable.

Thanks for all the info. I emailed Trev about some flexiglass plastics. It looks like it is just them and airtech for what is commercially available now.

Thanks for the information and sorry for hi hacking the thread. What is the advantage to running a race airbox and front fender? I was planning on just running a race rail, upper, lower, belly and painting the stock airbox cover and fender to match.

Slightly lighter, easier to paint, and the fenders are usually a little more aero.

I ran stock cover and fender on mine though.

Ok, this will be my first race bike so I may not notice the benefits. Thanks for the information!

CFboss, are you interested in selling the fairing set hanging up in the basement?

I had a set of ratty Catalysts on my ‘08, but pretty well trashed them last year.

ionemoto is damn close to where I bought the bike, ironically...
