I have three connectors.

Grey connector with 2 black wires
Black connector with 2 black wires
Black connector with 1 grey and 1 grey/orange wires.

Which ones connect with what?

I'm still confused...

Is this correct?

1.) ECM Cable
2.) Active Intake Solenoid Cable
3.) What is this cable?

Sounds like I leave 1 disconnected and taped up.

I'm not understanding the rest. I'm not familiar or knowledgeable about electrical work. I always get confused.

Should 2 & 3 be connected?

Sounds like I may need to take some items off the Harley Fix Harness?

Not Fred ...this may help:
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/738361.html?1407117257

there is a you tube link in the above thread

a) one connector goes to the ECM... (left pod)...I'm guessing your #1...it needs to be taped off
b) again I'm guessing #2 goes into a "T" that the big Grey connector (yellow wires) that was part of the harley fix ( tape it off or remove it)
c) again guessing #3 goes to the "noid" that was used to control the throttle butterflys to pass EPA noise testing ...you can look under "de-noid" in the google at the top of this page to learn more...I would not connect it and tape it off or remove it with the solenoid...sorry I don't have a harley fix to trouble shoot...just using info from my google searches hth

Okay, took a pic of the Harley Fix as well.

4.) Not sure what this does, but 3 yellow wires and one grey wire go into it.
5.) Just know it tied in the stator wires
6.) Connected to 1
7.) Just know it tied in the stator wires
8.) Connected to 2
9.) Connected to 3

I removed all the tape on the Harley Fix harness. Looks like the 2 greys go into 1 and the 2 blacks go into 1; both of those go into this black thing at the end. The grey/orange just loops between 2 black connectors.

I just want to make sure I'm not going to screw anything up with all these connections. Didn't want to come this far with all the costs and time to make it worse : ).

the system was controlled by a relay ( missing from connector #4)...with that relay removed the excess wiring is just excess wiring...if you have a 2008 model, and a new VR (SH847,from roadster cycle...mounted to receive some cooling air)you should be OK, if you have a 2009, you'll need to modify the rotor to add cooling oil to the stator..hth

I have the EBR rotor, rewrapped stator with larger wire and sh847.

I just installed the SH847 the other day, just need to figure out what specifically to do with the remaining wires.

Let me know if this would be correct:

1.) Tape closed
2.) Tape closed, but Check Engine Light will be on. Would need to follow "de-noid" procedure to get Check Engine Light to not stay on
3.) Tape closed.

Alternative:

1.) Tape closed
2.) Connect to 3
3.) Connect to 2
Note: No Check Engine Light, but Active Intake Solenoid will work

sounds good...if you still have the solenoid...the butterfly valves will be affected in 3rd gear...I believe that is where the EPA testing takes place for sound/noise

if you upgrade to a "race" ecm...no need for a resister when you remove the noid.

good luck
