Hi, Ive found links on older threads showing McMaster Carr links for the aluminum and copper washers, as well as an O ring...but its in packs of 10/10/50.
Are there places to order smaller quantities of these?
What could I ask a local hardware (NOT a home depot etc) store for?

I would like to try and tackle and oil change this weekend, but it's doubtful since I am missing those gaskets and Orings.

Thanks.

Napa, Ace True Value, any competent hardware store. You'll pay as much as 10 from e bay, but whatever: )

Many times these washers and "O" rings are reusable if you're careful.

Shoggin, Stevel. Do you guys work nights or just not sleep? 2:26 and 3:04 AM? Man, I was having a nightmare about falling asleep at work at that time last night.
Hybridmomentspass, McMaster Carr is a good source for parts. Just received some crimp connectors from them. Crush washer for drain plug I found at local Yamaha shop. Went there out of convenience while working on a dirt bike. matched up what I had and bought a bunch of extras. Same as on 1125, guessing that those washers are a standard size. O-ring, can't remember where I found them but I bought a goody box full of a vast assortment of O-rings and refer to that box whenever I need one. Cheapest and easiest way to go for me.

The main reason I wanted to add to this thread was to say that we always have Lance at St. Paul HD. I would bet that he has whatever you need. Great guy and indispensable to Buell community. Can't say enough good things about him. Just be careful when you go to that website because if you are anything like me you will have thousands of $$ of parts on your wish list before you know it.
Back to the oil change, if I remember correctly there are three drain points with the last one being the plate to access oil catch screen on bottom of motor. Basically inaccessible with stock exhaust. I know everybody has there own opinion but mine is hang the boat anchor stock exhaust on the wall and get a good exaust. Reflash or replace ECM. You won't believe the difference. And not all aftermarket exhausts are as loud as you might think. I have a Remus on the bike that I am currently riding and I don't think it is to loud comparatively, very throaty but not to loud. I have four different brands on different bikes and like them all for different reasons. HMF, Barker, Remus, Jardine RT-5. The Remus is probably the quietist of the ones I have.
Whatever you do don't get that POS FMF Apex Carbon. And if you like the boat anchor get the race ECM or spend $60 on a Buelltooth and reflash, money well spent. Of what I have I like the Jardine RT-5 the most it's the loudest and it could be variances in bikes or race ECM's but that one runs the best for me. In full disclosure I have not rode the bike with the Barker on it yet.
My main reason for pulling oil catch screen every oil change is to examine debris to try to tell what's going on internally. The size and type of debris can give you a heads up on potential problems. I also put debris in little ziplock to save and write info (mileage, date, which bike etc) for future reference. I also use magnetic drain plug in all my bikes can't remember buying any for Buell's. Guessing they come with them.
Sooooooo please excuse my long ass thoughts on exaust as I am not trying to start an argument with anybody. And anything that I have said has more than likely been stated numerous times previously by much more articulate Buellers. Again just my opinion. This website has been an indispensable source of information for me. At the risk of being redundant I will say it again. Best damn website period.
