I hate the asymmetry of only one side being used as the low beam and the other as high beam.

Anyone know of any conversions to having both sides used as the low beam and high beam?

I do this mod to all my Buells. I go into the left hand controls and bypass the lowbeam wire from the switch. Seems to be the easiest place to make the mod but I'm sure there are other places to do it.

The CR is a both-bulbs-on for high beam, at least my '09 is.

Not aware of a way to make both bulbs be both beams, the reflector shape isn't right. If you turn a bulb on in the high beam side, it'll be a high beam because of the reflector shape.

Probably need to change the light socket on the high beam only side to accept a two filament bulb; wire the new socket into the low beam/high beam side and you should get the look you want. However, the reflector and lens on the former high beam only side is not optimized for low beam on the side you modded

Thanks for the suggestions guys! The reflector asymmetry would probably irk me in how the lights look, so I guess I'll just leave it as is.

Really it depends on how in depth you want it go with it. A dual projector retrofit would be the way to go.

That would possibly require the light be heated and separated, then glued back together once the projectors are set/sealed in place.

@Imblasted

Thanks! That looks disgustingly good.

What tools would I need to to a dual projector retrofit? Would the wiring harness need to be messed with? I've never done lights on a bike or any electrical work.

i tried to talk to the guy who made it. he is trying to run a business and so he did not want to give me much help. I think he used cheap chinese projectors, so I do not know how the light output will be on those.

I bought the stuff to do a similar setup from the retrofit source. i haven't gotten to start my project yet tho.
