I recently picked up an 1125CR with spools. I've had an X1 for a long time (no spools). The stand I've been using for the X1 is a piece of junk and I'd like to replace it with a decent stand that would work for both.

Anyone know if there's a Pitbull or other stand that would be compatible for the 1125 and X1?

I use a standard Pitbull stand, with adjustable "feet" for the swingarm. I had it for my tubers, it works on my XB...and when I added a CR, I took a grinder and added slots for the spools, to the tabs on the stand. Kinda hokey...but it works just fine. I think I have to go through the monumental hassle of taking the swingarm 'feet' off the stand and turning them arouind when I use it on the CR. single 3/4" bolt on each one. Takes...nearly 60 seconds.

@Ratbuell – awesome, I was hoping that this would be an option so I wouldn't need to spend $$ (or store) two of them.

Thanks for the tip.

BTW, on revzilla, when I add to cart they give a spooky message that says: Stand does not work on Buell 1125 & Yamaha Vmax models, please use the Pit Bull Rear Stand Buell 1125 / Yamaha VMax

That's for this one: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pit-bull-ss-re ar-stand

@Ratbuell, any idea if this is the same stand as what you've used on your CR?

I bought 4 aluminum stands from harbor freight. Think I got them on sale for like $20. I like them. The work fine on all four of my bikes. I bent the ends out of the receiving part that the spools go in so they don't hit the swing arm on my 1125 and scratch the paint. It seems like most swing arms are scratched there. I had to open up the gap for a few of the bigger bikes. I just put my foot on one side and pulled on the other. They are small enough that I can use them on the bike while I've got it on the bike lift as well. Can't beat them for the money. Sure I'd like to have some high dollar ones but when I occasionally need to put four bikes on stands at the same time I'd go broke buying high end stands.

Couldn't tell ya. Bought it from Al when asb was still open. "I need a stand for tuber and XB" and this is the one I got, works great. I figured how to modify it for the CR.

To use on tuber/XB I face the red pads in and set the width spacing for the swingarm:

And as I said, I modified/notched the sideplates. I turn the plates inward so the red pad doesn't interfere, and the notch lifts the spool:

Thanks for the pictures, Ratbuell!

I just ordered the Pitbull standard/spooled rear stand: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pit-bull-ss-re ar-stand

Will report back if I have any difficulties, but assume it'll be smooth sailing.

Just a quick update, the pitbull stand didn't work as hoped – I tried the one with both spools and traditional mount. When inserted in reverse (spools out/up), the standard base contacts the rear pulley. I may have been able to mimic the mod above, but was concerned the spools would contact the pulley.

In other words, only get a pitbull if you're planning to do exactly what Ratbuell did (above) – otherwise it probably won't work. I ended up getting a cheap black widow stand just for the 1125cr.

Thanks for the input + ideas, everyone.

You need to search thru their website to actually find it, but this is the one I got for my 1125R and works just right on the 1190 as well:

I did change from the OEM spools to something a little more 'substantial'

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Pitbull stand made specifically for the 1125. Get that one, it's your safest bet.
