I bought a few boxes of parts recently, some of which were through LAP's liquidation of EBR's excess and unneeded inventory.

Among other things, I saw a set of 106mm rings, with an MSRP of $229. or thereabouts.

Having just bought a couple of 1125 Big Bore kits, I took a chance that this set of rings would fit the CP pistons included in the kits.

Wrong...not only are they different thicknesses, but the set is only for one piston.

If anyone has, or might have a need for a set of V0050.1b7 Rev A piston rings, which I now realize are the rings listed in the RX/SX parts manual, I'll give you a hell of a deal on them!
Less than half price!

Incidentally, these are the thinnest piston rings I have ever seen. I'll measure them tomorrow and post the thicknesses.

Top ring measures .040" thick

Second ring measures .032" thick

Oil control ring measures .078" thick.

I haven't measured the rings for the big bore kit yet, but they are visibly thicker than these. Top ring could easily be double the thickness of this one.

Somebody buy these! Don't make me buy an 1190 just so I won't have wasted the money for a set of rings!

Zac, I missed your post until today. I'm going to PM a cell phone number, call or text at your convenience.
I generally don't answer numbers I don't recognize, but I'll save your number in my phone

Pan,

The rings from a production 1190 RX/SX engine is not the same ring pack as the CP 1190 big bore piston set.
The OE rings for the RX/SX are quite different.

Yes, I figured that out as soon as I opened the package and saw the rings.
