So Im slowly acquiring parts for a future project. Have 1125 forks, front wheel, rotor, caliper and lever.

Now I need to be able to mount on a frame and need a set of triples.

Curious, something i thought about while looking around, how big of handlebars (diameter) were on the CR?

I have an R, so no bars that use a clamp like the CR.

Also - is it the same piece (CR triples) that would be on an XB? Or is it different?

1-1/4" at the clamp if I remember correctly, tapered to 7/8" at the controls.

The later xb and 1125 triples are not the same!
The distance between the fork clamps and headstock is different.
So it's not advisable to mix them.
But if you find a 06 or later XB triple set then the 1125 fork legs do fit perfect.

I test fitted some 1125 fork legs into the triples of a 07 stt and they fitted perfect!

I appreciate the help, it'll be easier to source a set if Im able to use many bikes' triples than just the two 1125 models

I'm looking to put the clubman bars onto my 1125R. I can get the upper triple tree for the CR with clamps and everything for around $130 or so. I just wonder if it's been attempted before. I already have the longer throttle and clutch cables and the clubman bar. I'm looking for a little more upright riding position. I guess that is if I can solve the fueling issues I've been having!

Clubman bars will make you lean forward more then your stock "R" bars. Or are you talking about the high bars?

The CR clubmans are identical, or really damn close to the R ergonomically. I switch between my R and CR all the time and don't notice the difference. I haven't actually measured them to see if there is a difference but they are close enough to look and feel the same

Much more of a reach for me. So much more that i was contemplating putting a R triple tree on my CR at one point. Then i got the high bars and like them better then either of the others. Best of luck.

Hmm, I guess I will need to get my hands on the high bars then!

Might be a good idea sit on one of each if you have that opportunity. That way you'll know fir sure which best suits you. Having said that I dont think you can go wrong with the high bars if you are looking for less reach.

To Each His Own...

Every inch you move your shoulders up with a taller bar means your bikes Front-Rear weight ratio has moved back. To some degree this puts you on your heels from the start. 2-up makes it worse. Increase The Rear Preload? It will be even twitchier.

Short wheel base bikes transfer all inputs faster. Inputs like Steering, Weight, Throttle...

The Front Tire's Engagement behavior will change, right?

The Flanders Company has been bending bars for decades...on their web site you can look at rise, pull back and width...been using them for years when I built race bikes for the track (dirt/asphalt):

RenthalŪ FatbarŪ are the market leading unbraced handlebar. Featuring a tapered wall profile enables the clamping diameter(1-1/8" | 28.6mm) to be larger than the control ends (7/8" | 22.2mm).
