I have a 09 1125r and had the stator issue occur. Just sent in my stock rotor to Twin Motorcycles. Was wanting to know if replacing the stock VR is a "must do" or if it shouldn't be a problem after installing the new rotor mod? Any help, and with as much detail, would be greatly appreciated since I'm not as skilled mechanically as most of you.

I contacted EBR last year when i did my stator/rotor upgrade. they told me if everything else is working as it should, the stock vr would be fine. I still bought a replacement just in case. I think i spent around $120 for a new hotshot series from Rick's, which is cheap insurance for me in the BFE areas i ride.
