I was removing the sprang clutch from the rotor today and in the process dropped it and a few of the bits fell out I believe I have put the pieces all back together again, however, I am uncertain about the c-clip. Where does the c-clip seat into the housing? There is no groove for it to seat into.

The C-clip doesn't seat ANYWHERE. I ran into the same thing when I replaced my sprag housing and sprag clutch assembly: you can literally just push the sprag clutch in without removing the C-clip.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE C-CLIP!!

It doesn't hurt anything, but it's a pain to get back in. It literally just provides a bit of outward pressure on the interior diameter of the sprag housing, and it just slides right in.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. Now I wait for the rotor to return from the Netherlands with the oiling hole.

When I took mine apart it didn't even have a c clip. Twin did a great and fairly fast job with the rotor too!
