I see your website mentions the ECM reflash to accommodate the Torque Hammer 2 Buell 1125 Exhaust.

How will the ECM reflash be handled / what is the plan?

Thanks.

It could be handled in 2 ways:

1) you could ship your ECM to Twin to be reflashed.
2) Twin can remote into your bike and reflash it (assuming you have the cable and a PC to connect to your bike of course)

Current price for tuning would be around $330 (shipping may apply depending on the arrangements) or the stage 1 kit includes the exhaust, a tune, k&n filter and the Twin Motorcycles intake stacks for the current price of $1300 (shipped in the CONUS).

Is that 330 plus shipping for a reflash? If I send my ebr ecu to them and they do a reflash for pipe...pricey ecu...will end up having around 700 into it, plus pipe.

If you buy the exhaust, and send Twin the ECM, it would just ship back to the U.S. with the exhaust at no extra shipping charge. I'm not sure where your $700 comes from though? Rough estimate on shipping to Europe would be around $35. If shipped back separately, it may be around $55 USD. If you're interested, we'd be glad to dig into the details and scenarios with you to get you the best deal. Let us know! Thanks!

He was implying he already spent $300 or so on the EBR race ECM.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I must not have been completely awake when I replied! ; )

If you still have the stock ECM, you could have it flashed and sell off the EBR ECM to recoup some of the cost. Just a thought if you're looking to go with the TH2.

Yeah...The closing wasn't good for any of us sadly.

Let us know if you mind a good way to hide that spending from the Mrs.! I think we could all benefit from that! : p

Have you looked at Twin Motorcycles? If they have them and we can piggyback them on another shipment to the US, perhaps we could get them to you without the expensive international shipping charges? Contact us with part numbers if you find them and we can work out a quote for you. Thanks!

Coaldigger, you could probably have TM send you the map and load it yourself via ECMDROID onto your stock ECM which is what I did. You need to have an android device and a bluetooth adapter which you can build yourself or get one from me. Instructions to make one are here: http://www.ecmspy.com/btwireless2.shtml

I have the TM stage one kit with the TH2 and love it. Dris and the guys over there are great. I just wish they would add another $100 to the cost of the kit and include the map as a file to all of the customers, which they can upload themselves. If somebody wants to have it loaded by a professional then there should be an extra fee for that. Spending an extra $300+ to make the kit work right is like paying $12 for a hamburger and then $4 for ketchup.

I've installed the stage one Kit on my 08' 1125R. Very straight forward only had 1 glitch that was rectified by TM; missing clamps. Anyway, I've very impressed with not only the high end but more importantly the low RPM throttle response and fuel mapping. No more surging and stuttering. I'll be going to Laguna Seca for a track day next month and I'll really be able to check on the high end at that time. I'm so looking forward to it!

I've got a stock exhaust with the EBR ECU for stock exhaust with K&N Filter. I also have the stock ECU

So..thinking of getting the full stage one - what ECU would you guys flash? I'm thinking the EBR, since I wouldn't likely be returning to the stock exhaust and if I sold the bike I could go stock exhaust and stock ECU.

Good way to look at it. Otherwise, you could flash the stock one and recoup some of the cost of the EBR ECM? I guess it depends on your budget.

Either way, let us know if we can help or answer any questions for you. When you're ready we can confirm availability for you prior to ordering. Thanks!
