Now before I start I'm sure some will disagree about the master I'm using but for the street this made a huge improvement.

Found this 2009 FZ6 master on ebay for $33 shipped to my door, it's a 16mm Brembo unit.

Here's a couple before pics.

After removing lever and getting ready to install. note in the bottom right corner of the master the Brembo logo.

And here's the after pics, if you can tell the difference.

As you can tell in the last picture the mirror mount it not drilled and tapped so if you want to use the stock mirrors on the CR be prepared to do that. No pee cup, huge improvement in braking and cheap!

I'm totally doing this. No luck finding any in nice shape on Ebay for close to $33 though--the other turkeys here must have beat me to them!

06-10 FZ1 uses the same master. Forgot to mention the lever from the Buell will not work, I picked up a used ASV lever to match my clutch lever.

I ended up getting one for $44. Sucks about the lever, though. The FZ6 master came with a lever, but it's regular aluminum, not black like the 1125 levers.

I do not understand, what is wrong with the stock brake?
both of these units look alike to me, I'm not seeing a difference between the two, except for the threaded mirror mount.

Bart...the Diameter of the piston inside the M/C is larger ( 14mm vs 16mm) the bigger piston pushes more fluid faster , but takes more effort...it's the science of hydraulics...I used a similar M/C off an old Hyabusa as the 'busa had two calipers with 6 pistons in each caliper...The goal was to reduce lever travel on the front brake...the best bang for the buck I have found is the replacement of the "stock" rotor mounting hardware with the "optional" mounting hardware from EBR
(currently "out of stock")

http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/parts-accesso ries/brakes/front-brake-rotor-mounting-kit.html

here's my old post on the hyabusa M/C ( with pictures)

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/633593.html?1306262895#POST2054310

add that M/C, plus new disk mounting hardware and some Motul 5.1 hi temp brake fluid and you'll have a pretty good front brake set up...

if you want to buy the Hyabusa M/C - I'll sell it - PM me.
