Had a spare set of rims that I retired when I bought the 2010 rear wheel for the Ulysses. Was going to use the Uly old rims for "track day use" on the CR, but went a different route. . .

Tires are the BattleAx 016.

"Bengal Silver", with retro-reflective red stripe.

Looks good PNW Uly. I like it even better w/ the black pods.

Silver rims and red stripe really looks nice on it.

Walked into the garage Sunday morning and it was "Meh, too many colors...", so swapped back to the black pods, keeping the white air box and windscreen. Like this look better.

Nice! Looks like you aren't leaving any chicken strips on those!!!

You had the Q2's before right? How do these 16's compare in your opinion? MSS has a sale on and just got a set of Q3's for my next summer set.

Right, had the Q2's on the OEM rims, like the 16's, but didn't want too push them too hard as they have sat in the Man Cave for a few seasons (late 2011), so although they had no miles, they weren't really new. . .

I'm mounting the OEM rims back on the bike with some brand-spanking-new Q3's for the ORP track days, so I'll be able to give a good assessment between the two.

I did note some front brake pulsing on the silver rims - - its the brake rotor that has had 60,000 miles of use when on the Uly, so interested to see how the OEM brake rotor feels out in Oregon.
