I was wondering if anyone could help me with this, just completed the 12K service, pulled the frame following the instructions on this site, thank you Yugi, took the opportunity to replace the low fuel sensor with the XB part, thank you Cataract2 and insulated the inside of the frame, all went well except for the first start of each day when the bike runs on one cylinder only, if I switch it off and restart it runs perfectly, can leave it all day at work and it starts fine, problem is only after it is left overnight. Any ideas?

I would start with the easy stuff. I hope its only running on the front when it happens. That front cylinder can be a pain. Check and test your connections to the injector and plug. Make sure the main harness is secure. Can only be a couple reasons a cylinder wouldn't fire. Gas, air, spark. Check them all.

Thanks for the reply, checked the connections to the plugs and injectors then changed the plugs back to the old ones, the front is a pain but can be done, no change. Then I decided that when it happened I would not restart but check which header was cold and which had some heat, guess what, it has started perfectly ever since. I hate diagnosing intermittent faults.
