New to the forum and I'm doing the VR upgrade. I took the HD harness off but I'm having a hard time figuring out what this connector is that goes to the harness. It goes down the left side of the engine and when I put the de-noid resistor in place it doesn't have anywhere to connect. Was it installed as part of the band aid harness and I can leave it hanging or is there something else going on?

Its not needed. It was used to activate the relay

Shawn is correct. The wire was connected to the ECM to switch the relay on and off.

Clip it and you're done. Or leave it. Up to you.

When I took the HD harness out all my connectors were accounted for with paired gender connectors. One was populated with the denoid resistor plug.
