Hello everybody,

I can make the modification OF rotor with EDM.
I search the diameter of rotor oil jet hole.
With different pictures, I think that it's 0.7 or 0.8mm (1/32) but I'm not sure.
I asked EBR but they don't want give the information.

Thank's.

discussion on DIY rotor

Nice pic of oil jet

you know, when i look at that pic of the oil jet hole itself - it sure looks more like 1-2mm to me;
- also, when i 1st read your post; i mistakenly read 0.7cm.. so, maybe you're right

Hello,

It's free for me because I work in company where there are 5 machines (EDM).

For me 2mm, it's too large.

I will remove rotor and I will draw 3D model. After, I will compare picture with 3D model.

If somebody have the diameter.....

You are right Mhpalin.
But, I'm angry.
Buell sells bikes with problem.
It's their responsibility.
To solve the problem, we must pay.
It's not normal.

These bikes are not the only bikes out there with charging problems we are lucky that EBR actually made a fix for this, seeing as H D doesn't care about us.Most of the guys on this board did not pay full price for their bikes like 6000$ for a low mile bike cheap guys were paying 5000$ brand new out the door.I paid 15500$ out the door for my 09CR and when I fixed the charging system with a 08 system in 2010 they did not have the rotor fix at that time I thought it was a cheap fix for a awesome bike that was 4000$ under the price of a KTM or Ducati at the time.Sorry for the rant but it sounds like you have the chance to fix yours cheap so fix it and ride it the bike is a blast to ride

Hey, Any Luck with the Dimensions of the Oil Jet? I too have an easy way to get my hands on an EDM or a Drill press. Extremely curious about the DIY oil jet.

How big is the hole in the crank that feeds the rotor?
