I found a set of optional long OEM Buell Side fairing for my 2009 1125R. I did the install and found that the HMF exhaust blocks the bottom front right side mounting bracket. Looks like I will have to fabricate something. The inner original OEM ram side fairings cannot be removed because it houses the radiator fans and have mount points for other key parts. Did not know if anyone has cut the inner side fairings to make it look better or have some other solution for this ugly look. I like the look from the side, just sucks from the rider point of view. | ||

Try KD fab, he made custom brackets or my 1125 to put a firebolt fairing on mine. or Dean Adams, he makes the Keda RT3 Exhaust. and lower chin spoiler brackets for the Firebolts. | ||

Som ting wong! The side fairings fit just fine on my '08 1125r with the same exhaust. You WILL need to do some bendy-stretchy to get it all to come together (especially where the heat reflection is on the right side). Some slight improvised spacing and slightly longer fasteners will do the trick. I also had to "supplement" the stick-on heat barrier on the exhaust side to prevent melting of the fairing. | ||

@Shawns, thanks for the pointers. I plan to first see if I can fab my own. I looked at KD Fab's website. If I cannot build my own I will give them call. |
