Im going to the UK the last two weeks of May and wondered if there were any races scheduled around them. I was supposed to go to the Isle or Man TT but that all got changed thanks to my employer. Now Im looking for alternative plans. Thought maybe some of you British blokes good give me some pointers. TIA.

It's a great shame that you can't visit the TT or the Manx GP - circuit racing won't satisfy you after watching Road Racing. The racing, the craic, riding the circuit before and after the race, are life changing experiences. I had my first visit to Ireland last year to watch the Ulster GP and it was absolutely fantastic - especially with the UKBEG posse. Have you seen the film 'Closer to the Edge'? If not, you must, it'll whet your appetite.

Personally, I can't wait to see an EBR hit the roads - and win

Donington it is. Hopefully I can catch the IOM TT next year. I don't suppose there are any bike rentals available?

Jason Griffiths motorcycles (01624 825940 UK) hires bikes on the IOM - but it's not cheap.
If riding the circuit is on your 'bucket list', I'll probably be on the Island for the TT next year, and I'll let you take my bike around the course - no speed limits except where posted in towns and villages

Ill be flying into London. Plans have changed again. The dates have been pushed back to a window of July 14 through July 25. Hopefully this will be the final change. Ill be looking for a race during those dates. sachsenring is a few days before that. Maybe I could leave a few days early and catch it before going on to London. I did a search online and bike rental are for the rich it seems, so probably wont be doing that.

British Superbike Championship is racing at Brands hatch from 19-21 July racing on the iconic GP circuit.

Probably the best spectator circuit in the UK and only a short drive south from London. brands Hatch is traditionally the best attended of the BSB rounds and sually provides some excellent close racing too, so there will be a decent crowd there.

That will work. Im still thinking about trying to go to Sachsenring as well. I watched Brands Hatch on Velocity, in fact I still have it on the dvr. I think Ill watch it again tomorrow. Should be a good trip if I can just get some firm dates.
