I have bought a stock exhaust on ebay from the US to have coated by Zircotec in the hope it will survive the British winters better than the first two, however I have realised it is the non-cat version, does anyone know how the fuel maps differ for the two, I have a stock and EBR Ecm and have Tunerpro RT so can make adjustments or if anyone could send me the file for a stock or EBR Ecm with non-cat exhaust so I can compare that would be great.
Cheers.

From what I've seen personally, the "cat" is just a blow through catalyzer. It will not affect your tune or fueling. Buell only did the catalyzer for California emissions. I've run both on my bike and have never noticed any difference in fueling, power or sound.

That being said, good luck!!

Thanks for the information Dhays, any difference is likely small then. Albert, yes I know that to be true, but is there a stainless option that remains reasonably quiet? I run a Supertrapp Supermegs on my Sportster so I am not adverse to some increase in db but I am not willing to fall out with my neighbours and I commute daily on the Buell which includes some early starts. If there is an alternative option I would be very interested.

Strim - I have a backup of a 2008 R stock ECM that I pulled via ECM Read. If you want a copy shoot me your email.

Thanks to S21125r. I can confirm the maps for fuel and ignition are exactly the same for the cat and non cat in the stock ECMs so we can safely swap between the two.
